Accountant (Jakarta)

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial reports for all units in Indonesia
• Assist in the area of accounting and finance including forecasting
• Work closely with frontline managers for day-to-day operations
• Supervise, train and develop key competencies of accounting personnel in Indonesia
• Liaise and build positive working relationship with internal and external parties (i.e. bankers, auditors, tax agents, suppliers, etc)
• Promptly prepare and file monthly/annual tax returns (including VAT) required by the local tax authority
• Assist in the area of Human Resource and Administrative support
• Maintain proper records on personnel, administrative, secretarial and taxation matters
• To assist in the implementation and monitoring of the internal control procedures
• To maintain and safeguard the office petty cash and update the petty cash report on a timely basis
• Prepare operational budgets
• Plan operational cash flows

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA level 3
• 5 years of accounting experience (of which 3 years should be in supervisory capacity) in MNC preferred
• Sound knowledge of local accounting and taxation laws and IFRS
• Tax knowledge is a must
• Strong leadership coupled with hands-on attitude is essential as incumbent will have to provide leadership and coaching to the team
• Good Attitude
• Honest & willing to work hard
• Self motivated
• Good time management, interpersonal and people management skills
• Excellent communication and language skills in English (written and spoken)
• Able to speak Chinese preferred
• Able to start work immediately or in short notice
